Mamata Banerjee approached the Calcutta High Court after her defeat in the Bhabanipur election.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has filed a petition in the Calcutta High Court after losing the Bhabanipur assembly seat to Suvendu Adhikari by a margin of 15,105 votes.

In her petition, Banerjee has alleged irregularities in the vote counting process. She has sought that the election records and the electronic voting machines (EVMs) be preserved.
