Markets will push US to act constructively on India: Roubini

Economist Nouriel Roubini has underscored India's significance as an emerging economy, noting that market forces will likely compel the US to pursue constructive trade ties with New Delhi. Speaking at an event in Dubai, Roubini highlighted India's appeal due to its large domestic market and skilled workforce.
Roubini emphasized that economic considerations will shape US policymaking in its dealings with India. He pointed to India's need to achieve near 9% annual growth to effectively tackle job creation challenges, particularly as artificial intelligence continues to reshape employment landscapes.
The remarks reflect growing recognition of India's economic importance in global trade dynamics and suggest that mutual commercial interests may drive both nations toward pragmatic engagement rather than adversarial policies.
