Mayawati promotes younger nephew Ishan Anand to key BSP role

Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has elevated her younger nephew Ishan Anand to a key organisational position, days after removing her other nephew Akash Anand from the party.

Ishan Anand, who is UK-educated, has been appointed as the party's chief sector in-charge. In this role, he will oversee the party's organisation and activities across all states except Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

The move marks a significant reshuffle in the BSP's senior hierarchy, consolidating family influence within the party structure.
