Mayawati reappoints nephew Akash Anand as BSP national convener

Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has reappointed her nephew Akash Anand as the party's national convener. This marks Anand's return to the position after previous removal.

Mayawati attributed the reappointment to changes in Anand's behaviour following his father-in-law Ashok Siddharth's exit from politics. She noted that people had observed a marked shift in his conduct since Siddharth stepped back from political activities.
