Mayor Directs Officials to Expedite Flood Prevention Works Before Monsoon

The city mayor has directed municipal officials to accelerate flood prevention infrastructure projects ahead of the monsoon season. The civic body has been instructed to prioritize desilting of silt trapping chambers, complete construction and linking of stormwater drains, undertake canal improvement works, and desilt wells in subways.

These preparatory measures are part of efforts to mitigate flooding risks during heavy rainfall periods.
