Military surgeons perform 220 eye surgeries in underground OT near LoC

Military surgeons have completed 220 eye surgeries at an underground operating theatre situated near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, marking the first such medical operation in such a location.
The procedures, conducted under Operation Drishti, included cataract surgeries and corneal treatments. The underground facility enabled medical teams to provide specialized ophthalmological care to patients in the region despite challenging operational conditions.
This initiative demonstrates the armed forces' commitment to delivering healthcare services to communities in remote and strategically sensitive areas along the LoC.
