Actor Mithun Chakraborty appointed cultural advisor to Bengal government with cabinet rank

Actor Mithun Chakraborty has been appointed as cultural advisor to the BJP-led West Bengal government, holding cabinet rank. The appointment was made by the Information and Cultural Affairs Department with immediate effect.

Chakraborty, a veteran of Indian cinema, joins the state administration in an advisory capacity on cultural matters.
