Modi calls for free navigation in Strait of Hormuz at G7 summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the UAE President on the sidelines of the G7 summit and called for maintaining freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The two leaders stressed the importance of safe maritime passage in the strategic waterway.

During the summit, Modi also held a bilateral meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The two discussed progress on implementing the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement between India and the United Kingdom.
