Modi Completes 25 Years in Elected Public Office

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed 25 years in elected public office, having served as Gujarat's chief minister starting in 2001 before assuming the Prime Minister's position in 2014. Few leaders have had the opportunity to govern continuously for such an extended period across state and national levels.
During his tenure, Modi has emphasized citizen-centric governance and delivery. Changes include simplified bank account openings, direct benefit transfers, mobile-based government services, infrastructure development in roads and railways, and expanded tap water access. Financial inclusion initiatives like Jan Dhan, digital payments, and digital public infrastructure have altered how citizens engage with the formal economy.
Key policy reforms under Modi's leadership include GST integration of indirect taxes, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code for stressed assets, and accelerated infrastructure investment. These efforts aim to strengthen manufacturing capabilities and reshape India's economic trajectory.
