Modi at 25 years: PM credited with challenging status quo on key ideological goals

Narendra Modi has completed 25 years of distinguished public service to the nation, including 13 years as Chief Minister of Gujarat and his tenure as the longest-serving elected Prime Minister of India. His journey began as an RSS pracharak, during which he travelled across the country and developed deep knowledge of its geography, culture, and economics, along with strong oratorial skills.
Modi's tenure as Prime Minister has been marked by his willingness to challenge existing conventions and push forward long-pending ideological goals of the BJP and RSS. Key among these were the abolition of Article 370 granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir—announced on August 5, 2019, by Home Minister Amit Shah in the Lok Sabha through a constitutional amendment bill—the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, and the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code. These three objectives had remained unfulfilled for decades before his government took action.
