Modi's grip on BJP leaves RSS sidelined, says analysis

An analysis suggests that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the BJP has increasingly centralised power, marginalising the RSS's traditional role in party affairs. After 17 years as sarsanghchalak, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat faces reduced leverage over the party he historically guided.
While the RSS may see its ideological goals realised through BJP policies, it has diminished say in decision-making processes. Modi's tightening grip on the party structure has shifted the balance of power away from the RSS's historical position of moral and organisational influence within the saffron ecosystem.
