PM Modi discusses West Asia tensions with Iranian President Pezeshkian

Prime Minister Modi held a bilateral meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, during which they discussed the current situation in West Asia. Modi stated that India believes in resolving all problems through dialogue and peace rather than conflict, and remains committed to this principle.
This is Pezeshkian's first visit to India as Iranian President and marks the second meeting between the two leaders in less than two weeks. The visit comes at a time of heightened tensions in West Asia following fresh US economic sanctions against Iran.
Modi expressed gratitude for Iran's regular and high-level participation in BRICS meetings despite challenging circumstances. He highlighted BRICS's potential in promoting cooperation and stability among Global South nations.
