From BJP Organizational Role to Prime Minister: Modi's 25-Year Journey

Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 76 on September 17, completing 25 years in executive responsibility. Modi became Gujarat Chief Minister on October 7, 2001, serving for nearly 13 years before entering national politics in 2014. He is now in his third term as Prime Minister. The BJP is launching a month-long 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan' campaign from September 17 to October 17 to mark the occasion.
Modi's political journey spans three distinct phases: organizational work within the BJP, a long tenure as Gujarat's Chief Minister, and over a decade as India's Prime Minister. His appointment as CM came shortly after a devastating earthquake hit Gujarat in January 2001, presenting immediate reconstruction challenges. Modi himself has described receiving the CM responsibility as sudden, with the priority being Gujarat's rehabilitation.
