PM Modi Meets Deputy CM Shinde, Shiv Sena MPs; Enquires on Maharashtra Floods

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in New Delhi on Friday, enquiring about the flood situation in Maharashtra and ongoing relief efforts. The meeting took place in Parliament and marked Shinde's first interaction with the PM following recent student protests.
Modi also held a breakfast interaction with six Shiv Sena MPs who recently joined the Shinde faction from Shiv Sena UBT. During the meeting, the PM discussed development issues affecting their constituencies and assured the MPs that the NDA functions as "one family," reiterating support for all alliance partners.
The meetings carry political significance as they precede an expected Union Cabinet reshuffle and amid the Supreme Court hearing the Shiv Sena name and symbol dispute. The Shinde-led Shiv Sena currently holds 13 Lok Sabha MPs.
