PM Modi Raises Three Indian Sailors' Deaths with Trump at G7 Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed G7 leaders at their summit in Evian, France on Tuesday, raising the death of three Indian sailors in US strikes. Sitting alongside US President Donald Trump, Modi stressed that international partnerships are meaningful only when nations jointly address shared challenges.
Modi called for permanent solutions to regional tensions through dialogue, diplomacy and international cooperation. He highlighted the impact of the conflict on maritime trade through the Strait of Hormuz, affecting global economies, and emphasized the responsibility to ensure seafarers' safety. "We must guarantee that maritime routes remain secure and sailors can work without fear," Modi stated.
