PM Modi appeals to Opposition to support women's quota implementation on Independence Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Independence Day appealed to the Opposition to assist in implementing the women's quota bill, stating they could take credit for the measure. He made the pitch as part of his address on the national occasion.
Modi also cautioned against individuals with Maoist ideology—termed "dimagi Naxals"—who he said have held positions within the country's corridors of power for decades. The remarks reflected his government's broader messaging on governance and national security.
