Madhya Pradesh High Court grants interim relief to ReNew in energy storage bid dispute

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas secured interim relief for ReNew Hydro Storage Pvt. Ltd. before the Madhya Pradesh High Court, allowing the company to participate in an ongoing bid process for 500 MW of energy storage capacity from ISTS-connected Pumped Storage Plants by MPPMCL.

The dispute emerged after ReNew's bid was rejected on technical grounds. The High Court's interim order enables the company to re-enter the bidding process. The court recognised the time-sensitive nature of the matter, noting that proceeding without ReNew's bid would have rendered the entire process ineffective for the company.
