Mumbai to offer free BEST bus rides for disabled passengers
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has approved a scheme to offer free rides on BEST buses for disabled passengers in Mumbai. The civic body has allocated Rs 7.64 crore to fund the initiative, aimed at improving accessibility and reducing transportation costs for persons with disabilities.
The move is expected to benefit disabled commuters across the city by providing them with cost-free access to BEST's extensive bus network, enhancing their mobility and social inclusion.
