10 Mumbai Ganpati Pandal-Hopping Guide: Lalbaugcha Raja, GSB, Chinchpokli Cha Chintamani And More To Visit In 2026

Mumbai's Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations centre on pandal hopping, with devotees visiting neighbourhood shrines to see elaborate idols and decorative displays. Several iconic pandals have become annual traditions spanning over a century.
Lalbaugcha Raja, established in 1934 by the Koli community, ranks among the city's biggest devotional attractions. For 2026, it features a Mahadev-inspired setup with a giant trishul as centrepiece, temple-inspired gates and detailed architecture. Nearby Chinchpokli Cha Chintamani, marking its 107th year, traces roots to 1920 and this year showcases a Lord Venkateswara-inspired idol. Mumbaicha Raja in Ganesh Galli, active since 1928, is known for inventive themes; its 2026 idol depicts Ganpati balancing on one leg above a pink flower.
