Mumbai to See Moderate Showers Over Weekend; No Heavy Rain Alert

Mumbai woke up to humid conditions with largely clear skies on Friday as monsoon activity remained subdued. The India Meteorological Department has forecast generally cloudy skies with light to moderate rainfall, but no rainfall alert has been issued for the city or suburbs, indicating widespread heavy rainfall is unlikely.
Parts of Mumbai and suburbs may receive light to moderate showers with occasional thundershowers at isolated locations. Wind speeds are expected between 40-50 kmph, with gusts reaching 50-60 kmph during intense rainfall. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius.
With no rain alert in place for the weekend, residents can expect generally cloudy conditions with intermittent showers. However, localised spells of moderate to heavy rain cannot be ruled out if thundershowers develop over the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Air quality remains in the 'Moderate' category.
