Mumbai Police Deploy 17,000 Personnel for Ganeshotsav 2026 Security
The Mumbai Police have deployed approximately 17,000 personnel for security during Ganeshotsav 2026, ensuring citizens can celebrate safely. The deployment includes seven Additional Commissioners of Police, 37 Deputy Commissioners, 52 Assistant Commissioners, 2,650 police officers and 14,150 constables.
State Reserve Police Force platoons, Quick Response Teams, Riot Control Teams and Home Guards have been positioned across key locations. Enhanced security measures have been planned for the immersion day, when large crowds gather citywide. Additional personnel will be stationed at sensitive areas and along major immersion routes.
Mumbai Police have appealed to citizens to remain vigilant in crowded spaces, report suspicious objects immediately and cooperate with deployed personnel. Emergency assistance is available via police helpline 100 or 112.
