Mumbai Police launches reverse lane on Nehru Nagar Bridge to ease traffic

Mumbai Police commenced a reverse lane on Nehru Nagar Bridge on Thursday, connecting Chunabhatti to the Bandra Kurla Complex. The lane operates between 8:00 am and 10:00 am to ease morning traffic congestion and provide safer commutes for office-goers.
Simultaneously, the MMRDA in association with WRI India launched the BKC Weekly Public Transport Day initiative, encouraging commuters to use public or shared transport every Friday. The move follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for austerity and World Environment Day observance.
BKC hosts nearly 2 lakh formal jobs and houses 75 per cent of BSE Sensex companies. The region is entering a new connectivity phase with Metro Line 3 operational and upcoming Lines 2B and 4 expected to bring the entire business district within one kilometre of metro stations.
