12-Year-Old Student and Father Injured After Scooter Hits Parked Taxi in Mumbai

A 12-year-old student of Matunga Don Bosco School and his father were injured in a scooter accident on Dr Ambedkar Road near Kapol Niwas Building in Mumbai. The student, identified as Shrathik, and his father Daday Chawan were returning home after the boy's exam when their two-wheeler collided with a parked taxi.

Chawan was wearing a helmet at the time and suffered injuries to his head, leg and face, while the student also sustained head and leg injuries. A building watchman found the student's ID card and contacted his mother to inform her of the accident, then alerted police and ambulance services.

Local residents helped transport both to Sion Hospital when the ambulance was delayed. The incident occurred near a construction site at Kapol Niwas Building.
