Mumbai to see hot, humid weather with evening rains; air quality remains good

Mumbai woke to partly cloudy skies and pleasant weather on Tuesday, with the India Meteorological Department forecasting hot and humid conditions. Temperatures are expected to range between 30°C and 35°C, with rain or thundershowers likely during afternoon or evening hours.
Mumbai's air quality remained in the 'good' category with an overall Air Quality Index of 24 on Tuesday morning. The improvement is attributed to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's crackdown on dust pollution, which has issued stop-work notices to over 1,000 construction sites for pollution-control violations.
However, pollution levels varied across localities. MHB Colony in Borivali recorded the highest AQI at 283, classified as 'unhealthy', while areas like Andheri East (7), Gamdevi (12) and Santacruz (13) enjoyed notably clean air.
