Indian Navy sailor arrested for sharing classified data with Pakistani operative
A 31-year-old Indian Navy sailor, Pradeep Mukherjee, was arrested at INS Agrani, a naval leadership training facility in Coimbatore, by the Andhra Pradesh Police Counter Intelligence cell. According to reports, Mukherjee was honey-trapped and lured into sharing classified defence information with a Pakistani operative.
The arrest marks a significant security breach within India's naval establishment. Investigations into the extent of the information shared and the network involved are underway.
