The National Board of Examinations has announced it will now conduct the FMGE screening test three times annually, up from the previous frequency. An additional examination is scheduled for October 31, 2026, providing foreign medical graduates with more opportunities to sit for the test.
This decision follows protests by foreign medical graduates over recent examination results. The regular FMGE examination scheduled for January 2027 has been postponed to a later date. The board will announce detailed schedules and application dates for the new examination soon.
