NCB seizes 5.2 kg heroin in Jammu, busts Pakistan smuggling network; 3 arrested
The Narcotics Control Bureau arrested three individuals and seized 5.2 kg of heroin in Jammu during an operation targeting a Pakistan-based drug smuggling network. Preliminary investigation identified a resident of Baramulla as the suspected mastermind, who was traced and arrested in Leh on August 24.
The heroin is believed to have been smuggled from Pakistan and entered India through the Uri border sector. The NCB said the ongoing probe will identify cross-border suppliers, financial links, transporters, local associates, and the intended distribution network within India.
