NCR Regional Plan 2041 approved: new cities, expressways and environmental zones
The NCR Regional Plan 2041 was cleared on Tuesday, covering an area of 55,000 square kilometres across Delhi and three neighbouring states. The plan will guide the development of new cities, expressways and environmental zones in the National Capital Region.
The framework is expected to shape urban growth, transport infrastructure, pollution management rules and green cover expansion across the region. It provides a long-term vision for managing urban expansion while addressing environmental concerns in one of India's most densely populated areas.
