NCTE clarifies fake notice on TGT appointment eligibility criteria

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has issued a clarification dismissing a fake notice that claimed 50% marks in graduation are mandatory for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) appointments.
The spurious notice had been circulating among job aspirants and educational circles, creating confusion about TGT recruitment eligibility standards. NCTE clarified that it did not issue any such directive and advised the public to disregard the false communication.
The council urged candidates and recruitment authorities to refer only to official NCTE guidelines and notifications for accurate information regarding teacher appointment qualifications. It also cautioned against sharing unverified notices that could mislead aspirants preparing for teaching positions.
