NDA Eyes Two-Thirds Rajya Sabha Majority Amid Regional Party Shifts

The BJP-led NDA appears to be gradually strengthening its position in the Rajya Sabha through selective defections from regional parties. Movements within the Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party, and DMK suggest the government may be approaching the two-thirds majority required for Constitutional amendments.
The slow but deliberate approach indicates the government no longer needs to build broad coalitions to demonstrate political strength. These incremental gains across multiple states reflect shifting political alignments and regional party calculations.
