NDRI and GB Pant University produce first Badri cattle calf using IVF technology

The National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) and GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology have successfully produced the first Badri cattle calf using in vitro fertilisation (IVF) technology. The achievement marks a significant step in preserving and advancing the indigenous breed.
The research team is now working on cloning high-yielding Badri cows as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the breed. In the next phase, embryos derived from both IVF and cloning techniques will be transferred into surrogate cows to expand the population.
