NEET has design flaws and is unnecessary: DMK's Dayanidhi Maran

DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran called for the scrapping of NEET in Lok Sabha, reiterating the party's longstanding opposition to the medical entrance exam. He contended that the proposed amendment to address paper leaks does not address the fundamental issues with the test.

Maran argued that NEET has inherent design flaws and is not necessary for medical education. He also raised concerns about Meta smart glasses being used to record protesting students, and highlighted technical issues faced by MPs regarding WhatsApp broadcast limits and a removed Facebook post.
