NEET to shift to computer-based test very soon, says NTA chief

The National Test Agency (NTA) director general Abhishek Singh announced that NEET, the medical entrance examination, will transition to a computer-based test format in the near future. Singh stated that the move represents the future direction for such assessments.

The shift is being facilitated by a high-powered task force headed by Nandan Nilekani, which is currently working on the transition plans. The computer-based format is expected to modernize the exam administration process.
