NEET UG 2027 computer-based exam not final yet, Centre tells Supreme Court

The Centre informed the Supreme Court that it has not yet finalised plans to conduct NEET UG in computer-based mode from 2027. The government said any transition from the current pen-and-paper format will depend on recommendations from an expert committee.

The committee, led by Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, is reviewing examination reforms in response to recent concerns over the integrity of the test. The Centre's statement came during proceedings in the apex court regarding NEET UG conduct and related issues.
