Netherlands Win Toss, Opt To Bowl In Maiden T20I Clash Against India

The Indian Women's Cricket team faced the Netherlands Women's team in their second ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Group stage match at Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds on Wednesday. This marked the first-ever T20 International clash between the two nations.

Netherlands captain Babette de Leede won the toss and elected to bowl. India, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, entered the contest following their victory over Pakistan in the tournament's opening match. A win would give India two crucial points and improve their Net Run Rate, strengthening their chances of finishing in the top two of Group A to advance to the semi-finals.
