NHAI, Forest Department restore 25 hectares of mangroves in Pichavaram

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the Forest Department have jointly restored approximately 25 hectares of mangroves in Pichavaram. The plantation initiative was undertaken to compensate for mangrove destruction during road widening works in Marakkanam, according to NHAI sources.
The restoration effort reflects environmental remediation measures taken alongside highway infrastructure projects in the region.
