NHAI launches barrier-free tolling on Tamil Nadu's Tambaram-Tindivanam highway

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has introduced barrier-free tolling on the Tambaram-Tindivanam highway in Tamil Nadu. The system allows vehicles to pass through toll plazas without stopping, streamlining traffic flow on the route.

Barrier-free tolling, also known as free-flow toll collection, uses automated systems to detect and charge vehicles electronically, eliminating the need for physical toll gates and manual collection points.
