8.7 crore young Indians out of school and work: NITI Aayog unveils plan

According to NITI Aayog, approximately 8.7 crore young Indians are neither enrolled in schools nor engaged in work, highlighting a significant gap in the nation's human capital development.
The government think tank has unveiled a plan to address this challenge, targeting improved access to education and skill development opportunities for out-of-school and unemployed youth.
The initiative aims to bridge the gap through coordinated efforts in education, vocational training, and employment placement, addressing a demographic segment that remains outside both formal schooling and the workforce.
