No Other Indian Vessel Has Left Persian Gulf After Disha: Shipping Ministry

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways said on Thursday that it is closely coordinating with multiple ministries and stakeholders to facilitate the safe return of Indian vessels and energy cargoes from the Persian Gulf. Director Opesh Kumar Sharma said no other Indian-flagged vessel has exited the region after the LNG carrier Disha crossed the Strait of Hormuz on June 15.
Sharma stated that all Indian vessels and crew currently in the Persian Gulf are being closely monitored. The government is working in coordination with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers, Ministry of External Affairs, and other relevant agencies to ensure preparedness for the gradual resumption of shipping traffic.
