Odisha tribal family's five children clear NEET, defy poverty to pursue medicine

A tribal family from Odisha has achieved a remarkable milestone with five siblings clearing the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for medical college admission. Bibhisan Naik, 25, and his sister Monalisa, 23, were the first to qualify. They have now been followed by siblings Sunemi, 20, Ashriya, 18, and Meenakshi, 19, who have also cleared the competitive medical entrance examination.
The family's achievement represents a significant break from poverty and limited educational opportunities typically faced by tribal communities. The siblings' success underscores the importance of determination and access to quality education in overcoming socioeconomic barriers.
