Omar Abdullah resolution invokes J&K autonomy, emphasises statehood push

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has tabled a resolution that invokes the region's autonomy while maintaining emphasis on restoring full statehood to the union territory. The resolution reflects the administration's dual approach to addressing longstanding demands from the region.
The move comes as Abdullah's government seeks to balance historical autonomy concerns with the broader push for J&K to regain its statehood status, which was revoked when the region was reorganised into a union territory in 2019.
