Owaisi says AIMIM open to coalition against BJP in UP elections

AIMIM chief and Lok Sabha member Asaduddin Owaisi has made a statement regarding the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, saying the party is making full efforts to form coalitions in the state. He reiterated that AIMIM does not want the Bharatiya Janata Party to form a government in Uttar Pradesh.
Owaisi said AIMIM is offering an open proposal to contest elections through anti-BJP alliances. He cited the party's experience in Bihar, where it had sought six seats and won four seats in Seemanchal despite losing four legislators to defection.
Owaisi announced that AIMIM will hold public meetings across UP, starting with Kanpur on September 20, followed by events in Shravasti and Azamgarh. He said it is premature to specify how many seats AIMIM will contest, as the party is still in its campaign phase across the state.
