Why play with them? Owaisi questions govt over Women's Asia Cup trophy row

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday criticised the Indian women's cricket team's decision to refuse accepting the Women's Asia Cup trophy from ACC President and Pakistan cricket chief Mohsin Naqvi.
Questioning the government's stance, Owaisi asked why India plays cricket with Pakistan, citing suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty and the Pahalgam terror attack. He accused the government of allowing the BCCI to earn money from TV rights while showing no sympathy to families of those killed in terror attacks.
Owaisi further questioned why India engages in cricket with a country he said continues to promote terrorism.
