PAC seeks privilege motion against chief secretaries of 6 states over scholarship delays

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has recommended a privilege motion against the chief secretaries of six states for failing to disburse scholarships on time and for not appearing before the committee as directed.
The PAC's action follows repeated instances where these senior bureaucrats either did not comply with the committee's summons or failed to ensure timely scholarship payments to eligible beneficiaries. The committee views this as a serious breach of parliamentary procedure and administrative responsibility.
The privilege motion is intended to hold these chief secretaries accountable for both the administrative lapses in scholarship distribution and their non-cooperation with the legislative oversight body. The PAC has forwarded its recommendation to the relevant authorities for further action.
