Padikkal-led India-A faces Australia-A in BGT audition

India-A, captained by Devdutt Padikkal, will take on Australia-A in an unofficial Test match as both squads prepare for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy scheduled for February. The shadow series serves as an audition for players eyeing spots in the main bilateral series.

Both teams are using the encounter to address specific gaps in their squads ahead of the high-profile tour. India-A will look to identify batting depth and bowling options, while Australia-A will similarly seek to strengthen areas ahead of hosting India for the marquee Test series.
