Pakistan sought ceasefire, India kept them waiting: Ex-CDS Chauhan on Operation Sindoor

Former Chief of Defence Staff Anil Chauhan has recalled Operation Sindoor, stating that India was determined to achieve its military objectives before considering a ceasefire. Chauhan said that when Pakistan sought a ceasefire, India kept them waiting, having already planned additional waves of strikes to pursue its goals.
The operation marked India's military response following cross-border tensions. Chauhan's remarks underscore the strategic approach India adopted during the standoff, prioritising the completion of its military objectives over immediate diplomatic resolution.
