Unauthorised Pakistani cosmetics worth ₹7 lakh seized in Hyderabad

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) seized unauthorised Pakistani cosmetics valued at ₹7 lakh from retail stores in Hyderabad's Nampally and Habeeb Nagar areas.
The seized products were found to contain heavy metals exceeding permissible safety limits, posing potential health risks to consumers, according to police. The CDSCO notice highlighted the violation of regulations governing cosmetic imports and sale.
The action underscores ongoing regulatory efforts to prevent the distribution of substandard and unauthorised beauty products in the market.
