Palestinian flags waved, national flag disrespected during Eid processions in multiple states

Multiple incidents of flag misuse were reported during Eid-e-Milad processions across India on Wednesday. In Karnataka's Karwar district, a man named Mohammed Raza Akbar Ali was arrested for waving a Palestinian flag during an Eid procession in Ankola town. Police initiated legal proceedings against him.

West Bengal's Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari confirmed that two foreign flags were seized during Eid celebrations across the state, with FIRs registered against those involved. He stated the administration maintains a zero-tolerance policy against attempts to disrupt social harmony or misuse sacred occasions for external political propaganda. Similar incidents of Palestinian flags being waved were reported in Maharashtra.

In Uttar Pradesh, reports indicated the national flag was disrespected during processions, and sharp weapons were flashed. Police authorities have said appropriate action would be taken against those involved in the incidents.
