All 22 Indian seafarers aboard the Panama-flagged crude oil tanker MT GEM NO. 2 were confirmed safe following a drone attack at Sharjah Anchorage on October 9. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said authorities were continuously monitoring the situation and in contact with the ship management company to ensure the crew's security and wellbeing.
At Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, activists Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das, and Ashutosh Ranka were detained ahead of a planned protest at Jantar Mantar. Video footage showed police approaching Dipke aboard an aircraft, though the full circumstances of the detention remained unverified.
