‘Paper Leak Is A Multi-Billion Rupee Racket’: Kejriwal Targets Centre, Demands Action Against Exam Scams

Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has launched a fresh attack on the Centre over repeated examination paper leak controversies, alleging that a massive network benefiting from such scams continues to operate without accountability.
In a video message released on social media, Kejriwal claimed that examination leaks have become a recurring problem because those responsible are not being brought to justice.
“Paper leak is a business of billions & trillions and there are many big people involved in it. Why is this paper leak not stopping? Paper leaks are happening every two to three years. Why?” he said.
Kejriwal argued that the issue is not due to administrative shortcomings alone but reflects a deeper failure to dismantle networks allegedly profiting from examination irregularities.
Drawing a comparison with states governed by his party, the AAP leader asserted that examination systems in Delhi and Punjab did not witness similar controversies during his party’s tenure.
“We have run a government in Delhi for 10 years. Not a single paper leak has happened. We have had a government in Punjab for four years. Not a single paper leak has happened there either,” he stated.
The former chief minister also raised questions over the awarding of examination-related contracts, alleging that firms linked to past controversies continued to receive responsibilities despite concerns being raised about their conduct.
“They just formed a committee. No action was taken against anyone else. This means the entire scam is being covered up,” he alleged.
Referring to the debate surrounding NEET and other competitive examinations, Kejriwal questioned whether recent corrective measures would be sufficient to stop future leaks if vulnerabilities exist at earlier stages of the examination process.
“The scammers are being saved because they have to leak the papers again next year. They have to earn billions of rupees again next year,” he claimed.
Calling for wider public participation in the issue, Kejriwal urged students, parents and citizens to demand stronger safeguards and greater accountability from authorities.
“Until all of you raise your voice and force the government to fix this entire system, it will not change,” he said.
